Deviating from the heavyweights of the Indian Railways, we take you to another type of vehicle that runs on rails and have been an integral part of the City of Joy - the Calcutta Tram. Radically different from our mainstream railway subjects, Calcutta Tram captures the romance of light railway in the last surviving tram network in India. Though on its way to severe decline, the Calcutta tram still has a strong emotional connection to the city and still has the potential to play a pivotal role in building a sustainable and green mode of urban transportation for the citizens of the great city of Kolkata.

Our first Calcutta Tram model is the Burnstandard Tram and it not only boasts accurate scale details and paint scheme on the outside, but we also took a non-compromising stance on the interior details. In this very open structure, you can get a nice view of the interior, seats, ceiling fans, and grab rails. The model comes in two variants, standard and premium, the details of which are mentioned below.
